Part 2 of my post - See other post in the Locals area called "Alameda Corridor" click here
A few photos of some PHL action and non-PHL action on PHL's tracks from today (06/12/05) Saw a few other railfans down in the Harbor(s) area's today... anybody from this forum? Here we go; 1 ... LLPX 2801 waiting as the conductor throws the switch to let them out of the Pier A Yard. 2 ... PHL 50 was coming by the yard at the same time after retreiving some K-Line containers from the Yang Ming / China Shipping yard down at the Wilmington / San Pedro border... seen here crosing Anaheim Street enroute to use the Wilmington Wye. 3 ... After making a quick stop near the Catalina Pacific Concrete plant to throw the switch... they proceed onto the east leg of the Wilmington Wye. 4 ... And another photo of the PHL 50 at CP Gaspur with the Anaheim Street overpass in the background. 5 ... Down at the east end of the Pier B Yard was PHL 43 sitting tied down for a wedge photo which I grabbed before heading back west. 6 ... Over at the Transfer Yard near the Nismo (Nissan) Auto yard a set of 5 engines were heading over to Terminal Island after setting out a string of autoracks. NS 6617 was on the east end as one of the crew rides the steps after throwing the switch. 7 ... And the west end of the 5 engines is covered by UP 4101 as they head towards CP Dominguez and up alongside Badger Bridge. ~~~ Here is one from 2 weekends ago (05/29/05) that I will throw in for good measure and also mention it is the current featured photo on my website. 1 ... BNSF 4329 on the PHL main as they approach Figueroa and enter the Yang Ming / China Shipping yard. ~~~ Thats all for now.... Chris
